Abstract:

In this review, we address scorpion venom research due to its importance in the promising pharmaceutical industry, addressing the components of scorpion venom in general, and the role of peptides in the pharmaceutical industry in particular, based on their FDA approvals and their mechanism of action on ion channels in cells. We also review currently available studies and research, highlighting the most prominent published findings from the scientific literature, with a focus on the applications of scorpion venom in cancer treatment and the promising potential of venom compounds in treating various types of cancer.
